Excellent Glock 27 Equivalent

Posted by Ace88 on May 9th 2011

Smith and Wesson has done it yet again. My friend and I both own the same pistol and I can’t seem to prove to him my Smith is better (lol). I am very satisfied with this pistol and it does give the Glock 27 a run for its money. That being said, I do own a Glock 27 and it is superb. The M&P is an excellent equivalent to the Glock 27, so if you’re in for a small .40S&W CCW pistol find a range and rent these two guns, mainly because the stock triggers on each of these pistols are very different so your preference might differ. Other than that bit of advice, put this pistol on your "Need to own list".

Quick handling, accurate shooter.

Posted by TJ Lambert on Nov 30th 2010

As a long-time 1911 (in the US Army) and Glock 22 user with small hands, I was looking for something that would fit me better in .40.

I’d read many reviews of the Smith & Wesson M&P40 and figured I’d give it a shot (ha!).

From the moment I held the M&P40c in my hands with the medium grip swell, I was hooked – I bought it on the spot.

I am very, very impressed with it’s accuracy, recoil abatement (especially for a compact) and follow up shot pointing, a true pleasure to shoot.

It’s a vary natural hold for me. The most comfortable feature for me is that the grip is rounded and not squared-off anywhere.

My only modification to the weapon was on the trigger guard lower strap; S&W have moulded a small crease surrounding the grip stippling that extends to the trigger guard, after some very extended shooting sessions I found that this crease blistered up my middle finger pretty badly, so I just smoothed out the crease with some steel wool and it’s now perfect!

Wonderful gun, you’ll love it.

I love this gun very much. It is easy to conceal and the handling of it is excellent. Smith and Wesson makes great guns and this is one to add to that the list of bossness!!!!
