This Lipsey’s Exclusive revolver is the first Ruger Blackhawk Flattop chambered in 45 Colt.
The mid-size Ruger Flattop sixguns are some of the finest packing guns ever produced. The original 357’s and the wildly popular 44 Specials have been highly prized for their smaller dimensions and great balance. Now, you can have this classic revolver in the most classic sixgun cartridge of them all, the 45 Colt.
As a bonus, we spec’d out these guns to include an auxillary 45 ACP cylinder. This production run will also feature “gunfighter” style simulated ivory grips that Ruger has used on some of their special edition guns, such as the Joe Bowman commemorative. For those of you who don’t like the “cheesegrater” (as some people call them) black plastic grips that have been included on the Flattops, this will be a nicer feel. The front sights on these 45 Colt revolvers are taller than the sights on the 44 Specials revolvers so that there is plenty of elevation available for various bullet weights. All parts, including the gripframe and ejector rod housing are made of steel and have a nice, rich, blue finish. Since we introduced the Flattop 44 Special in 2009, the 45 Colt version has been a constant request. We really believe that this gun, with the convertible cylinder, is one of the best all-around single action Ruger has ever made. If you agree, don’t wait around too long on this one!

Beautiful gun, arrived on time, shoots true and easy (have only run 45 ACP, waiting for some 45 Colt ammo to arrive). Mid frame size works perfectly for me, just make sure not to run Ruger Only rounds (and perhaps +P rounds) through it. Now I want a lever action in 45 Colt (sold my Marlin 44mag to pay for this Ruger) to compliment it; maybe a Henry? If you have any thoughts on lever actions (the Marlin was my first and only) in 45 Colt, let me know. If you’ve been thinking of getting back into revolvers, not just for hunting and plinking but for personal defense, you can’t go wrong with this gun!

How do I start the return process?
Log in to your www.florida-firearms.com account and locate and click on the “Request Return” link.
An Florida Guns agent will review your request for a return and respond within two business days.

When will I get my credit or return?
Most returns are fully refunded in 3-5 days after we receive and process the return. It may take longer for the credit to appear in your account depending on your bank. Most items that are in stock ship within 3-5 days after receipt of your returned item, but may take longer depending on availability.
What about damaged/incorrect items (not including non-returnable items listed above)?
If you received a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, Florida Guns will ship you a replacement of the exact item upon receipt of the damaged or defective item. Florida Guns will send you a return shipping label for the return.
What about return shipping costs?
If an Florida Guns error causes the need to return an item or we are replacing a returned defective or incorrect item, then we will pay the associated shipping costs.
Otherwise, the customer is responsible for any return shipping costs. When returning an item, please add package tracking and adequate insurance.
