Each Ruger American Rimfire rifle includes two interchangeable stock modules that provide comb height options for scope or iron sight use. Standard models come with long length of pull modules, while compact models come with short length of pull modules. By simply removing the rear sling swivel stud, stock modules can be changed in seconds. All four stock modules are completely interchangeable across all models.

Models chambered in .22 LR feature the detachable, flush-mounted 10/22® BX-1 10-round rotary magazine. Accepts all 10/22® magazines, including the BX-25® and BX-25®x2.

Models chambered in .22 Magnum use the detachable, flush-mounted JMX-1 9-round rotary magazine.

Easy-to-use 10/22®-style extended magazine release provides smooth, no-fuss magazine removal.

Patent-pending Power Bedding® integral bedding block system positively locates the receiver and free-floats the barrel for outstanding accuracy.

Another Great Rifle From Ruger

Ruger hit a homerun when they came out with the American Rifle in rimfire. I purchased this compact model in .22WMR after previously purchasing this rifle in .22LR (standard length).

The rifle is awesome! Like the .22LR version which uses the same 10-round rotary clip (BX-10) as my Ruger 10-22, this version uses a 9-round rotary clip (JMX-10) which runs flawlessly. It eats any ammo I feed it. It was accurate right out of the box too. And, because it is a Ruger, it’s built very well. The factory sights are good. I just hope Ruger will re-introduce their semi-auto 10-22 carbine in .22WMR, because I will buy it too. I am considering purchasing this same rifle in .17HMR next due to the excellent performance of the other two calibers. I plan on configuring this rifle into a ‘scout’ platform with see-through scope rings and a compact 3x9x40mm scope. Then I will add a tripod and sling to complete the package. If you are thinking about buying a bolt action rifle in .22 magnum, think no more and buy this rifle. You’ll be very glad you did. I sure am. How do I start the return process?

When will I get my credit or return?

If an Florida Guns error causes the need to return an item or we are replacing a returned defective or incorrect item, then we will pay the associated shipping costs.
