The Remington Model R51 is fine-tuned by Remington engineers to deliver intuitive shootability so you can be ready and stay safe when it matters most. Great but needs work.

It’s a great gun. Needs some break in and dose have some problems at first. After about 500 rounds it will even fire steel casing. It does have major issues at first. I almost gave up on it but after a shooting of work it runs fine. I think if you were to send it a d polish the interior it would work better. All in all I love it. I’d trust my life to it and I carry it.

Pleasure to shoot

This gun is a pleasure to shoot; superbly accurate; trigger feel is excellent. Contrary to reports I’ve seen online, mine doesn’t seem to be too picky on ammunition–though, I haven’t/won’t put cheap Russian thru it… Took a couple of boxes of ammo to “break it in,” but after that, it has performed flawlessly. I have no concerns about it being my primary carry gun from a reliability perspective–and am confident that I can put rounds where they need to go should the need arise. It’s too bad Remington didn’t get this right the firs time and tarnished its reputation. Having said that, they did get it right with the re-design.

Great Little gun

I ordered it and three days later it arrived at my FFL. Great service by Florida Guns and I could not be happier with my purchase. Took it to the range and fired almost a box of ammo thru it with problems. It was very accurate with less than expected recoil. At 12 to 13 yards I put most of my rounds within the 5 inch bullseye.

I wanted one a few years ago- now that they have redesigned it- I’m glad I couldn’t get one back then. Shoots fast and smooth and I can shoot smaller groups than with other small guns.

I like the light recoil- best feel for a compact nine that I felt. I went to the Impact range and tested the R51, the LC9 and a Kimber 9. I choose the Remington.
