Tough Competition to the Ruger 10/22

The decision on which .22LR would be my next purchase was difficult. It came down to having both the Ruger 10/22 and this Remington 597 on the counter next to each other. Like many, I have experience with the Ruger 10/22. It is a very reliable and accurate rifle with a vast variety of aftermarket accessories available. The Remington 597’s synthetic stock feels much more comfortable than the 10/22. I purchased this 597 over the 10/22 and haven?t looked back. The fit and finish are in typical Remington fashion with great reliability. The rifle is accurate and fun to shoot. I purchased a few extra 10 round magazines to go with it. When new these magazines are very tight and challenging to get even 8 rounds in. After a reasonable break-in period they have loosened up and I have no problem loading the full 10 rounds. I would highly encourage a buyer to go for the 597 with iron sights over the 597 scoped models. I say this because the scoped model does not come with iron sights, nor is it tapped to accepted iron sights. The 597 model with iron sights can always have a scope attached to the dovetailed top of the receiver. This allows the shooter more variety in shooting. This is a great rifle at a fair price.

How do I start the return process?

When will I get my credit or return?

Most returns are fully refunded in 3-5 days after we receive and process the return. It may take longer for the credit to appear in your account depending on your bank. What about damaged/incorrect items (not including non-returnable items listed above)?

If you received a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, Florida Guns will ship you a replacement of the exact item upon receipt of the damaged or defective item. Florida Guns will send you a return shipping label for the return.

What about return shipping costs?

If an Florida Guns error causes the need to return an item or we are replacing a returned defective or incorrect item, then we will pay the associated shipping costs.
Otherwise, the customer is responsible for any return shipping costs. When returning an item, please add package tracking and adequate insurance.
