Taking it out to the desert in a few days but it looks like it’s in top condition with a smooth action.

Just purchased on 4/3 and picked it up on 4/10. I have not yet taken it to the range; but, it is NIB, the action is smooth and everything appears to be OK. The finish on the receiver is not quite as good as it should have been; and there are minor scratches for which I deducted 1 star.
I rate Florida Guns as a 5 star company; My shotgun was in my hands, delivered NIB within 7 days of placing the order, and at the best possible price.
Other thoughts: I added a Hogue over-mold stock and bought Federal 00 Low Recoil shells. Overall, an excellent cost effective weapon for home defense.

My wife & I went into a local gun store, & I saw this beautiful pistol grip shotgun on the rack, I picked it up, worked the action a number of time’s, tried the safety & trigger, & I fell in love with it. I bought it right then & there, ( 12 gauge pistol grip for me, & a 20 gauge pistol grip for my wife). The only thing that I added to mine was a Tac-Star 6 rd side saddle. I keep the side saddle full of 00 Buck, & I have a full box of 00 Buck next to the shotgun for quick loading. I don’t keep the weapon loaded because I don’t want to weaken the spring. This thing is a beast for destroying whatever you hit with it. This is an excellent equalizer to level the playing field in the event that we may get unwanted, uninvited "guest"!!! I’ll be getting another 12 gauge pistol grip persuader for my sons upcoming birthday, he’s gonna love it. Thank you Mossberg gor another excellent & much needed product.

I got a Persuader model 50588 &… four boxes (20 shells total) of the Winchester Military 00 Buck. I was completely destroying steel coffee cans from ten yards! I mean just shredded them to pieces! I would HIGHLY recommend this model Mossberg 500 to everyone!

No Need to Feel Defenseless

I have owned 3 of these guns and they have all functioned as expected. I have the marine finish, no-rust gun on my boat. This gun is easy to pick up, rack ready for deployment. I am not sure there is anything else you need from this type of fire arm. Not only do I feel much safer with this on my boat and in my home, my friends flat-out love to shoot it when we target practice. I don’t have an aficionado of fire arms who has ever looked at it without letting out a low growl. Enough said.

7rnd tube, ergonomic pistol grip. I’ve fired 3in 00buck, 2 3/4 rifled slugs, as well as a variety of other different ammos. Never had a stovepipe, cycles perfectly. It’s very intimidating looking, and I have already had to use it to "persuade" someone not to attack me on my own driveway. I take it everywhere, locked and loaded.
Love this shotgun. By far, one of my favorite versatile weapons.

Keep it clean and keep it dry when storing your 500 Persuader!! My barrel started to get a little surface rust at tip of barrel. Other than that, this is all you need for a tactical shotgun. There is not one reason that you should spend more on a different brand. Mossberg has all you need for half the cost of most other tactical shotguns. If this was the only gun I had for the Apocalypse, I would be sittin’ pretty! Owned mine for approx 4 years now.

recently picked up a brand new one of these and it is a blast to shoot, quite literally. the pistol grip makes it easy to crack off sixty shots or more without to much abuse to the body. 7 round tube is nice too… no problems cycling shells, ran smooth, not to mention it looks and sounds mean. definitly a sweet gun especially if you get it with the interchangable butt stock.
