Decent Gun, Poor Quality

Posted by Josh on Aug 5th 2014

I picked one of these up from a local gun store (not Impact). I’ve added a few accessories like a rail and single point sling. I like the cartridge, 40 S&W, the recoil is not bad at all. The gun shoots straight and has gone through various types of ammo. However, there have been some quality control issues. My front sight fell right out while shooting at the range. The safety will creep over due to recoil. I’ve had a few FTE and stove pipes even with quality ammo. Overall, the gun is fine, but I would never trust my life with it as a home defense gun. It’s a range toy, and in that capacity it’s a good firearm. For anything else, like home defense, it’s reliability issues means you can’t trust the firearm to operate 100% of the time.

Mad at first

Posted by Billythekid on Jan 12th 2012

Bought it because of its unique folding feature. Took it to the range with 100 .40 cal reload rounds(big mistake). Fired weapon and the third shell jamed in the receiver. Cleared the jam and two later jammed. jam after jam and I was seriously pissed. I thought the weapon was defective but did some problem solving and had my buddy get some factory rounds. What a difference. 50 rounds and not one jam. I guess the reloads didn’t have enough grains to blow the bolt back efficiently causing the jams. I will say one thing, this weapon does have a suprising kick in the .40 cal model. Good to have a red shoulder once again. Sight was pretty accurate from factory.

What an amazing compact sub-rifle!

Posted by Lumen on Aug 16th 2011

I picked one of these up to experiment with a 16 inch barrel and 40 cal ammo. I already have a Glock 35 and thought this would be a great little rifle that uses the same mags. I was absolutely right.

This thing is so incredibly light and compact you cant even notice it in really any method of carry. It is fast to unfold and fire (almost instant) and accurate.

For Cons, my only one complaint is the front sight. Its a bit difficult to get zero’d because of the way its made and all… But once its zero’d you dont have to ever mess wtih it again. I got my zero at 100 yards and just about hit a pop can there every shot, every now and then I miss one. Just took about 4 boxes of ammo to get it that sharply zero’d in.

Over all this is the perfect weapon for backpacking, mountain climbing or long distance hiking. You will not regret carrying this one!

What an amazing and lightweight weapon with a very effective caliber!

Excellent Portability

Posted by SAR SO on Dec 15th 2010

This is an excellent carbine, especially if you already own a Glock and want to make a compatible system. The gun is light weight, extremely portable because of the folding feature, relatively soft shooting with the long travel bolt, and simple and reliable. When folded it fits in a messenger bag or larger computer bag. And the built in lock is a welcome feature. Breakdown and cleaning are simple, and there are some good accessories available.

It shoots nice, and adds a definite boost to the muzzle velocity. Unfortunately, I did not have a chronometer to measure the increase over a pistol, but I would estimate it at 10%. This makes an excellent self defense weapon, because of its portability.
